Natural Intentions is a blog that focuses on health from a holistic perspective. This blog was founded by the owners of Plough Green Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy based in Surrey, South West England. Pharmacy as we know it targets specific issues and provides treatment to specific problems.
Natural Intentions wishes to educate and inform people that preventative steps can be taken reducing the risk of illnesses and problems. Complementary and Alternative medicines have been sold in our shop for years, our pharmacist trained with Ainsworths, specialists in the making of traditional homeopathic medicines and suppliers of homeopathic remedies to the Royal Family. We also sell brands like A. Vogel and Weleda, brands which empower and encourage people to take care of their health in the natural way.
Health from a holistic angle considers different dimensions, that when combined, all contribute to maintaining a sense of balance and well being throughout the body. There are five main components of personal health; physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual.
Research has strongly indicated that by consistently monitoring these five aspects, one can maintain an overall sense of well being. Neglecting of one or more, can increase the risk of illness and disease to the mind, body and spirit.
Holistic health focuses on the big picture, which consists of the mind, body and spirit. It also tends to favour the natural health route, which is gentle on the body with little or no side effects.
Another great benefit of the holistic angle is the domino effect it has on those around us, our environment and society overall. By taking better care of the “whole” of us, we are in a better physical and mental position to encourage happiness and positivity amongst others.
